The Parish Council is saddened to learn of the recent death of Julian Smith, QPM, honorary freeman of Tollerton.
Julian served on the parish council for 25 years and was Chairman of the Parish Council for 10 years from 2002 – 2012. During this time Julian was actively involved in village life, in particular as a member of the Village fayre committee, the Village Newsletter committee, the Village history group, the village campaign group tackling excessive traffic and from 1999 – 2014 as a School Governor at Tollerton Village School.
In 2022 Julian received the ‘Honorary Freedom of the Parish’ in recognition of his valued and outstanding service to the Tollerton community over his 25 years as Parish Councillor.
