Tollerton Parish Council keeps up pressure on Rushcliffe Borough Council over housing development consultation.
The Parish Council has continued to challenge the badly planned, poorly rolled out and potentially unlawful consultation on the Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the airport site.
Following a totally inadequate response to our letter at the start of October, the Parish Council has written again to Rushcliffe Borough Council asking a number of further questions.
We raised concerns about…
- Given the very limited publicity about the consultation this means that the very short time for residents to respond is even more worrying – we’re continuing to press Rushcliffe Borough Council on this.
- The very slow distribution of the single leaflet that Rushcliffe Borough Council have deemed adequate to promote the consultation. This has finally started to arrive now but it is unclear when the whole village will receive it.
- A number of concerns about which groups have been identified as needing either additional work to hear from or should be specifically contacted for their response – it is completely unclear how this is being done.
- The badly put together and hard to access version of the SPD on the Rushcliffe Borough Council website – which many residents have told us they can’t make head nor tail of.
